We are actively developing and implementing effective environmental management systems by minimizing negative environmental impacts throughout our business activities to create a sustainable future where people, society, and the environment coexist and by continuously identifying and implementing advanced improvement methods and tasks.

We are actively practicing climate change response through business models by expanding the scale of renewable energy generation and entering the power brokerage market in line with the acceleration of energy transition for national-level carbon neutrality by 2050, the market restructuring towards clean energy, supply chain issues, and the increasing importance of energy security.

Biodiversity & Ecosystem Protection

Shintaegwang Solar power Plant in Buyeo

Protected species: wildcat, hen harrier, goshawk, upland buzzard, narrow-mouthed toad, kestrel, scops owl, brown hawk owl, grey frog hawk, eagle, and sparrowhawk

  • Preventing capture and exploitation of small animal species, which are the primary food sources
  • Installing signs in areas where these species are expected to appear
  • Providing regular education for workers

Uiseong Hwanghaksan Onshore Wind power Plant

Protected species: wildcat, marten, eagle, scops owl, eagle owl, and Siberian flying squirrel

  • Ecological special zones, artificial nesting sites, feeding stations, pillar installation for wildlife crossings, creation of rock piles, and installation of wildlife biotope
  • Introducing vegetation cover and natural stone retaining walls to create migration routes, installing and operating aviation obstacles to prevent nocturnal collisions with birds

Sinan Ui Offshore Wind power Plant

Protected species: otter, wildcat, python, birds

  • Avoiding nighttime construction, installing temporary nesting sites, utilizing low-noise and low-vibration construction methods
  • Developing phased construction plans including snake movement plans
  • Applying bird recognition and avoidance systems to prevent bird collisions
  • Minimizing habitat disturbance by installing underground facilities for grid connection construction with the smallest possible footprint
